Four Of The Largest Brands In Putters
Despite the fact that the golf game does not follow stringent regulations on the golfer to possess any particular club, still the putter is a typical club found in all the golf sets. This is because it is expressly designed for playing on the short green grass. Technically, it enables the golfer to have a soft stroke, effective glide, and it prevents the uneven bounce of the ball when it is covering the short distance to the cup.
Some of the popular brands that manufacture putters are Titleist, Odyssey, TaylorMade, and Ping. Here we talk about the four brands in detail.
Titliest – Acushnet Company is the proud owner of this brand name. Initially, manufacturing golf balls was the prominent business of the company, but soon it attained noteworthy position in the production of clubs and other instruments. This brand was the center of attraction and the favorite among such players as Adam Scott, Rory Mcllroy, Steve Stricker, Davis Love, and Tiger Woods.
Odyssey – The American sporting goods company, Callaway Golf Company, is the manufacturer of an array of golfing products. In 1997, Callaway acquired Odyssey Sports, expanding its line of putters. Since 2000, golfers now have the Odyssey White Hot Putter line. There have been many top notch golfers who use the Odyssey putters and are in contract with the company, for the PGA, Nationwide, European, LPGA and the Champions tour.
TaylorMade – A subsidiary of the well known Adidas Company of Germany. Since 1979, the company has acquired a prominent place on the golf course. The company earned the title of No.1 driver in golf courses in 2005. In addition, the putters manufactured by the company are highly esteemed by the top golfers in most of the tours. The recent brands available include Rossa, Core Classics, and Rossa TP.
Ping – This brand was invented by an American manufacturer, Karsten Solheim. He initially designed the club for his own use, but later his fame rose to great heights as the putters made by him were the talk of the town. These putters were also named as ‘musical putters’ as they produced a really sweet sound. Today, the lines of putters manufactured by this company come under the labels of Karsten, i Series, iWi, Redwood and IN.
